Manufacturing Engineer PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:- Identify and recommend the purchase, modification, and improvement of various equipment.
- Manages discipline-specific subset of projects and is responsible for cost, schedule, and performance.
- Responsible for defining the scope of the project subset and selecting team members.
- Completes non-standard engineering & design work related to the installation and retrofit of varied, complex equipment.
- Provides advanced day-to-day equipment troubleshooting support to Maintenance.
- Provides input into the development of standards, processes, and procedures within the department.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to less experienced Engineers within their own discipline.
- May specialize in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil.
- May be responsible for managing multi-disciplined projects.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED FOR THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:- Four-year college degree required.
- Five or more years of relevant experience required.
PREFERRED FOR THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:- Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to perform independent work requiring experience and independent judgment.
- Application of recognized Project Management principles keying on Cost, Schedule and Performance in the implementation of projects.
- Ability to apply engineering discipline training in the design of equipment and
fabrications. - Ability to direct outside consultants, contractors, and material suppliers.
- Skilled in the use of CAD systems (3D capabilities preferred), MS office software packages, and engineering design software packages.
