WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGDesign independently and in collaboration with branches integrated manufacturing solutions for production. These systems may include computer networks, robots, machine tools, high speed production quality control with high-speed camera and material-handling equipment. (40%)
Apply working knowledge of manufacturing process to new product design. Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental new product development meetings to ensure the manufacturability of the new product. (30%)
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential improvements. Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems. (20%)
Develop training instructions and/or conduct initial training of branch employees on operation and maintenance of systems. (10%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIf you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
- Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent working experience
- Certified Manufacturing Automation Professional
- Experience with machine vision systems
- Experience with industrial/mechanical control, PLC process controls, plant electrical systems, equipment instrumentation, variable frequency drives, human/machine interface and equipment operation.
- Experience with robotics, palletizing and packaging
- Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems (preferred
