This position will be pivotal to SST's ability to profitably grow, and the right manufacturing professional needs to be a proven change agent.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Design independently and in collaboration with branches integrated manufacturing solutions for production. These systems may include computer networks, robots, machine tools, high speed production quality control with high-speed camera and material-handling equipment. (40%)

Apply working knowledge of manufacturing process to new product design. Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental new product development meetings to ensure the manufacturability of the new product. (30%)

Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential improvements. Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems. (20%)

Develop training instructions and/or conduct initial training of branch employees on operation and maintenance of systems. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent working experience
  • Certified Manufacturing Automation Professional
  • Experience with machine vision systems
  • Experience with industrial/mechanical control, PLC process controls, plant electrical systems, equipment instrumentation, variable frequency drives, human/machine interface and equipment operation.
  • Experience with robotics, palletizing and packaging

This job requires up to 10% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt, position is located in Stockton, CA. It is not eligible for remote work.

PAY

$81,100 - $129,800 / year

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment. The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
