Manager, Tools & Outdoor Strategy – Hybrid

The Job:
As Manager, Tools & Outdoor Strategy, you will be part of the Tools & Outdoor team, helping drive strategic and operational priorities across the global business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Tools & Outdoor Strategy, this role will play a key part in planning and advancing cross-functional initiatives, improving business processes, enabling execution against strategic objectives, and driving operational excellence across the global portfolio.
This role is a strategic generalist position with meaningful responsibility for helping guide the organization27s strategic initiatives and business rhythms. It will also help shape team ways of working and strengthen integration with Brand teams.
This position is based in our Tools & Outdoor headquarters in Towson, Maryland, with remote locations considered.
You27ll get to:
- Support annual strategic planning processes, helping translate strategic priorities into actionable business plans.
- Contribute to the Strategy & Insights team27sways of working, helping define priorities, improve team effectiveness, and establish scalable processes and operating disciplines.
- Lead strategic and operational initiatives that support business priorities and long-term growth objectives.
- Partner across the organization to drive cross-functional alignment, execution, and accountability for key business initiatives.
- Help guide theStrategic Initiatives Management (SIM)process, ensuring adoption across business units and adherence to KPI reporting.
- Integrate closely withBrand teams, recognizing their leadership of business units and accountability for the products produced under their brands, while ensuring strong connectivity to enterprise and commercial processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance organizational effectiveness, speed, and execution quality, with a particular focus on commercialization of innovation.
- Drive operating rhythm activities, including business reviews, performance tracking, leadership updates, Executive Gate Review (EGR) coordination, and cross-functional governance.
- Analyze business performance, market dynamics, and internal operating trends to identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Partner with leadership to prepare executive communications, presentations, and recommendations that support decision-making and organizational alignment.
- Leverage technology and tools, including artificial intelligence, to streamline workflows and improve team effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and collaboration across teams.
The Person:

- Bachelor27s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business operations, commercial strategy, sales, or related roles within consumer durables, tools, or similar industries.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and driving operational improvements in a matrixed organization.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership.
- Experience building strong partnerships across cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.

The Salary range for this position is $77,600.00 - $124,900.00
