Full Job Description
Role Summary
The Talent Development Manager will design and facilitate development experiences that strengthen leadership capability, accelerate professional growth, and build high-performing teams across the organization.
From developing first-time leaders and emerging talent to launching mentoring programs, facilitating team effectiveness workshops, and supporting career growth through talent development processes, you'll help create opportunities that enable our people to reach their full potential.
Working closely with business leaders, the Director of Learning & Development, the Learning Experience Designer (LXD), and external partners, you will help build the capabilities that power Armada's success today and prepare our organization for the future.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Facilitate Leadership & Talent Development Programs
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve leadership development programs for first-time leaders, emerging leaders, and high-potential talent
  • Partner with the Director of Learning & Development, Learning Experience Designer (LXD), and external content providers to develop and deliver Armada's leadership development curriculum
  • Develop and manage career development programs including: mentoring initiatives, Individual Development Planning (IDP) support, and resources that help employees navigate career growth opportunities
  • Develop and facilitate learning experiences for leaders that support key talent management processes, including Individual Performance Planning (IPP), Strategic Resource Review (SRR), career development, and succession planning
  • Facilitate professional development experiences that build critical workplace capabilities such as communication, presentation skills, storytelling with data, influence, and business acumen
  • Facilitate team effectiveness experiences utilizing tools and assessments such as DiSC to strengthen communication, collaboration, and team performance

2. Partner & Consult with the Business
  • Partner with leaders and stakeholders to identify development needs and recommend solutions aligned to business priorities and talent objectives
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leaders, helping reinforce development strategies and learning application within teams
  • Facilitate discussions, workshops, and feedback sessions that drive engagement, capability building, and organizational growth
  • Establish ongoing feedback loops with leaders, participants, and stakeholders to continuously improve programs and learning experiences

3. Manage Learning Programs & Engagement
  • Manage talent development programs from planning through execution, including communications, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and measurement
  • Deliver engaging learning experiences through virtual, in-person, and hybrid modalities
  • Reinforce learning through follow-up activities, toolkits, practice opportunities, and manager enablement resources
  • Monitor participation, completion, and engagement to ensure programs achieve intended outcomes
  • Partner with the LXD to ensure seamless alignment between learning design, delivery, adoption, and learner experience

4. Measure & Improve Program Effectiveness
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback, engagement metrics, and business insights
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve learning experiences, leadership programs, and development offerings
  • Provide recommendations and insights to L&D leadership regarding program impact and future opportunities
  • Contribute to shared L&D standards, tools, templates, and best practices that create consistency across the learning ecosystem
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in leadership development, career development, facilitation, and adult learning

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in talent development, learning & development, leadership development, organizational development, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience facilitating leadership development, professional development, or career development programs
  • Experience facilitating virtual, in-person, and hybrid learning experiences
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and stakeholders to identify development needs and drive program adoption
  • Experience managing multiple programs or projects from planning through execution
  • Experience using data and participant feedback to evaluate and improve program effectiveness
  • Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support the facilitation and delivery of leadership, professional development, and training programs
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Education, or a related field
  • Experience supporting succession planning, talent reviews, mentoring programs, or career development initiatives
  • Familiarity with leadership and team effectiveness assessments (e.g., DiSC, CliftonStrengths, Hogan, Insights Discovery)
  • Familiarity with coaching, mentoring, and adult learning methodologies
  • Designing and facilitating leadership development, professional development, or career development programs
