  • Establish and deliver annual and multi-year cost-reduction objectives through strategic sourcing, negotiations, supplier optimization, and total-cost-of-ownership initiatives
  • Lead strategic negotiations and long-term supplier agreements to improve cost, quality, capacity, flexibility, and overall supplier value
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, competitive bidding, should-cost analysis, and other cost optimization strategies
  • Monitor market conditions, supplier capacity, material availability, and other external factors that may impact cost or supply
  • Report sourcing performance, savings, supplier risks, and opportunities to senior leadership

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing professionals responsible for direct-material categories
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, development plans, and career paths for team members
  • Build sourcing capabilities, processes, tools, and best practices across the organization
  • Allocate responsibilities and resources to effectively support business priorities
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team aligned with Stratasys values

Supplier & Risk Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key global suppliers
  • Lead executive-level supplier reviews and negotiations
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply risks, including capacity constraints, allocations, supplier financial concerns, end-of-life materials, geopolitical risks, and single-source dependencies
  • Partner with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, cost, capacity, innovation, and overall performance
  • Develop and execute supplier risk mitigation and business continuity strategies

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams during new product introduction (NPI) to influence sourcing decisions, supplier selection, design-for-cost, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing to ensure sourcing strategies support production requirements and supply continuity
  • Partner with Quality to address supplier performance and quality issues
  • Work with Finance to establish sourcing targets, validate savings, and support budgets and business planning
  • Collaborate across global teams to align sourcing strategies and ensure consistent execution

Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and continuously improve strategic sourcing processes, tools, metrics, and reporting
  • Use data and market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities and make informed business decisions
  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing effectiveness, supplier performance, and overall procurement capabilities

What You Bring

Required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or related supply chain functions
  • Significant experience managing direct materials in a manufacturing, technology, hardware, electronics, industrial, aerospace, medical device, or similar environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies and delivering measurable cost savings
  • Experience leading negotiations, supplier agreements, supplier performance initiatives, and supply-risk mitigation
