Manager, SOX Controls and Transformation. This position is
on-site 3-4 days a week in West Chester, PA and reports to the
Director, Financial Operations & Controls.
This role will strengthen the organization's control environment while modernizing business processes and improving operational efficiency. It will leverage SOX/ICFR, risk management, internal controls, process improvement, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to develop scalable solutions across the business.
We are seeking a strategic problem-solver with strong SOX and internal controls expertise, a continuous-improvement mindset, who challenges the status quo, identifies opportunities to automate and prevent issues, and develops scalable solutions.
Where you will make an impact: - Build and maintain a scalable SOX internal control framework, including controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
- Assess business and financial reporting risks, evaluate control design, and recommend practical remediation and improvements.
- Lead SOX readiness activities, control testing, evidence collection, remediation tracking, and coordination with internal and external auditors.
- Redesign inefficient workflows with business leaders and lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
- Support ERP implementations, system integrations, and broader digital transformation efforts.
- Standardize processes to improve scalability, consistency, and data quality.
- Develop dashboards, performance metrics, and automated monitoring to provide greater visibility into business risks and controls.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through workflow automation, analytics, AI, and other emerging technologies.
- Measure and communicate the value and impact of automation and process improvements.
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, Operations, external auditors, and other stakeholders to drive sustainable change.
What you will bring: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, internal or external audit, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with SOX/ICFR programs, including control design, documentation, testing, evaluation of operating effectiveness, deficiency assessment, and remediation.
- Demonstrated ability to improve business processes by integrating effective controls with process redesign, technology, and automation.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Accounting, IT, Operations, external auditors, and other business stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP implementations, SOX systems, or other technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through implementation and drive organizational change.
- Experience applying workflow automation, analytics, AI, or other emerging technologies to business processes is preferred.
