Full Job Description
Manager, Revenue Cycle is responsible for leading a team focused on aged accounts requiring follow-up, payer strategy, denial prevention, escalation management, and resolution of complex reimbursement issues. This role partners closely with different operational teams, analytics, and client stakeholders to optimize payer performance, reduce aged accounts receivable, and improve cash outcomes.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to AR, denials, and cash collections while overseeing a decentralized workforce
  • Access and analyze internal RCM reports to identify issues, monitor performance, and drive overall revenue cycle performance improvement initiatives
  • Lead by example while promoting teamwork by fostering a positive, transparent and focused working environment to achieve maximum performance outcomes
  • Lead a team that delivers consistent, solid revenue cycle management performance outcomes for the clients including billing and collections along with other functions per client agreements
  • Effectively utilize tools and data to capture and continually improve client and patient satisfaction
  • Stay abreast of regulatory or payer requirements and company compliance policies, ensuring timely staff education
  • Help ensure that appropriate personnel policies are adhered to and any personnel problems are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Assist in hiring, managing and developing department staff to ensure appropriate skills base is present in the staff, as well as to ensure that skills needed for future needs are developed in advance of their need

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading acute RCM operations team and supporting multiple hospitals with an ability to demonstrate detailed end-to-end revenue cycle knowledge (processes, workflows, reporting, and payer processing)
  • 5+ years of experience identifying and recommend operational solutions in response to emerging AR situations (cash, aging, payer, denials, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in progressive leadership role analyzing data, identifying root cause, and solutioning to drive accurate claims submission, reduction of denials, and accelerating cash
  • 2+ years of experience in client management within a healthcare delivery system interfacing with enterprise level leaders
  • Willing or ability to travel 10% to 15%


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience leading acute RCM operations overseeing an Acute centralized business office team and supporting multiple hospitals and/or clients with an ability to demonstrate detailed experience of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, workflows, reporting, and payer processing
  • 5+ years of experience in progressive leadership role analyzing data, identifying root cause, and solutioning to drive accurate claims submission and reduce denial volumes while accelerating cash

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
