The BMR Technology & Data Solutions function develops scalable technology, data, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities that enhance the efficiency, quality, and consistency of the manager research process.
As part of this team, you will work at the intersection of investment research, data, technology, and innovation. You will partner closely with research, allocator, data science, technology, and operations teams to deliver solutions that improve decision-making, streamline workflows, and strengthen the research platform. Your role and impact The Vice President within BMR Technology & Data Solutions will lead the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of data, automation, analytics, and applied AI solutions that support BMR investment workflows across public and private markets.
This role will partner closely with research, allocator, data science, technology, and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions, improve data quality and workflow efficiency, and strengthen controls across third-party manager research processes. Operating at the intersection of manager research, data engineering, automation, and applied AI, you will own complex workstreams, exercise sound judgment on technical and operational trade-offs, and influence priorities through expertise and partnership.
You will also help define and evolve data products that support manager research workflows by establishing data requirements, improving usability, and ensuring data assets are structured to support analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. Through effective governance, documentation, and reusable solution patterns, you will help BMR establish scalable and consistent ways of working.

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the BMR Technology & Data Solutions roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve research workflows, data accessibility, data quality, scalability, and controls.
- Lead technology and data initiatives from prioritization through implementation, aligning scope, trade-offs, delivery milestones, and adoption needs with stakeholders.
- Design, build, implement, and support data, automation, and analytics solutions while applying standards for testing, monitoring, resiliency, access controls, change management, and maintainability.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, challenging unnecessary complexity and escalating risks and dependencies early.
- Partner with research, investment, data, and vendor stakeholders to improve data coverage, output quality, workflow transparency, and stakeholder usability across public and private markets.
- Develop and support internal applications, dashboards, and analytics tools using Python, Streamlit, Airtable, Tableau, Power BI, APIs, and internal data platforms.
- Prototype and productionize AI and LLM capabilities for document processing, data extraction, research synthesis, and monitoring, with appropriate controls and human oversight.
Your experience - Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of technology, data, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions in investment management or financial services; manager research experience is beneficial.
- Strong Python programming and solution design skills, with experience building, supporting, and enhancing production solutions.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, including querying, joining, validating, and wrangling large datasets for analysis, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Experience with data applications, visualization, analytics, and data platform technologies such as Streamlit, Tableau, Power BI, Airtable, Snowflake, relational databases, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including applied LLM use cases and the controls required to move solutions from prototype to production.
- Proven ability to deliver complex programs independently, manage multiple priorities, coordinate across stakeholders, simplify complex processes, and implement durable change.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence through expertise, credibility, and partnership and a strong interest in financial markets and investment analytics.
