About The Opportunity
Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Oversees testing of processes and products.
Essential Job Functions
  • The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Establishes site(s) strategies, systems and controls to support company and customer objectives in the areas of Quality

Assurance/Compliance
  • Establishes and reports site(s) key Quality performance metrics and provides leadership support to assigned sites to ensure scorecard objectives are met
  • Implements and maintains overarching Quality framework, which utilizes assessment, training, and monitoring techniques to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, and independent agency standards
  • Establishes and assures implementation of company-wide Quality programs
  • Manages quality incident resolution process including completion of root cause analyses, calculation of total cost of quality, implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders Addresses Quality concerns and operational improvement opportunities working with key stakeholders and implementing corrective actions
  • Manages the external/internal audit processes and supports site Quality representative responsible for executing any
  • needed corrective action to address audit deficiencies
  • Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the Quality function, working closely with direct reports
  • Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
  • Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
  • Knowledge of and experience with effectively managing changes to the production environment and process
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify a problem and use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting
  • Frequent walking and standing required
  • Occasional travel required
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
