Manager, Project Management - Global Payment Network PMO
This Project Manager will sit with the Global Payment Network (GPN) PMO and support specifically the Digital Programs and Projects.The individual will be responsible for full lifecycle program delivery for Digital Platform Projects which may include domestic and international eCommerce and tokenization work within the Digital Platforms. This role partners closely with product peers, technology partners and operations and process teams coordinating well-managed deliveries across multiple functions and lines of business.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple program/project deliveries that impact Digital Platforms (i.e. new partner Launches, network improvements and priorities)
- Full engagement and delivery of programs, including discovery/portfolio tracking, project tracking and execution, & governance and well managed activities
- Owns the end-to-end management of initiatives from the 'Manage' phase onwards, including seamless handoff from Portfolio Management, and ensuring all requirements are met.
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization to monitor and manage the critical path, plan contingencies, facilitate scope changes, and control resource expenditure
- Full service management of communications and stakeholder engagement including reporting on program and feature delivery progress, managing escalations and impediment resolution
- Insights and improvements for future programs/project based on execution learnings
- Build and maintain high trust relationships with partner teams across the Network to keep abreast of current strategies and manage work in progress
- Lead the management of complex technical interdependencies, coordinating cross-functional delivery teams, and proactively mitigating execution risks to ensure seamless deployment.
- Facilitate standard PMO routines (e.g., S3 status huddles, decision forums, and leadership reviews) and drive adherence to standard artifact templates to ensure data transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Identify Jira tagging/reporting issues and work across product teams to troubleshoot access, data entry & reconcile Jira
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Military experience
- At least 3 years of Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree or an advanced certifications (CSM, CPO, SAFE)
- 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- 2+ years of experience in Program, Portfolio or Product Management
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Services
- 2+ years of experience in the Consumer Credit Card industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project ManagementMcLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management
New York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Manager, Project Management
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
