- Establish and maintain enterprise-level project governance, including phase-gate expectations, decision-readiness criteria, escalation paths, project-health standards, and leadership review cadences.
- Own the definition, reporting, and continuous improvement of core NPD performance metrics, including On-Time Delivery, On-Budget Delivery, project health, milestone attainment, risk exposure, resource utilization, and product vitality.
- Ensure project teams maintain integrated plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, decisions, and deliverables.
- Drive disciplined execution from concept through development, validation, industrialization, launch, and post-launch transition.
Process, Tools, and Continuous Improvement
- Lead enterprise-level improvement and standardization of NPD, Product Development Process, and Design-to-Value practices.
- Develop and maintain project-management procedures, templates, playbooks, deliverables, reporting tools, and governance standards.
- Partner with NPD and DtV leaders to identify execution gaps, simplify processes, improve adoption, and embed best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate and recommend project-management, portfolio-management, reporting, and collaboration tools that improve visibility, efficiency, and decision quality.
- Participate in assessments involving third-party consultants, supplemental workforce partners, and organizational/process-improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate the development, communication, training, and adoption plans required to implement process and tool improvements successfully.
Portfolio, Capacity, and Financial Management
- Lead the team of cross-platform Project Managers in the execution of prioritized NPD initiatives.
- Conduct regular capacity-and-demand assessments to inform project-manager assignments, workforce planning, prioritization discussions, and resource-gap resolution.
- Partner with NPD, SBM, DtV leadership, and functional leaders to translate portfolio priorities into executable delivery plans.
- Own NPD budget reporting in collaboration with NPD Leads and Financial Business Partners, including forecast accuracy, project cost performance, and cost-to-complete visibility.
- Provide executive-level portfolio reporting that highlights performance trends, decisions required, delivery risks, resource constraints, and recommended actions.
- Support business cases, financial analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and Design-to-Value initiatives that improve program outcomes and resource allocation.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Risk Management
- Lead resolution of enterprise-level project-support gaps while operating in alignment with the NPD RACI and functional-accountability model.
- Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Service, Finance, and Commercial functions.
- Facilitate timely decisions, resolve cross-functional conflicts, remove barriers, and escalate issues when necessary to protect project commitments.
- Champion proactive risk management by ensuring teams identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate technical, commercial, operational, supply-chain, financial, and schedule risks.
- Ensure project teams use appropriate contingency plans, corrective actions, and lessons learned to reduce recurring execution issues.
- Ensure new intellectual-property creation and protection processes are understood, integrated into project execution, and consistently followed.
People Leadership and Capability Building
