Manager, Project Management - Card Partnerships
As a Manager, Project Manager at Capital One in the Partnerships Tech and Operations team, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will be responsible for engaging with leaders across U.S. Card and supporting Lines of Business, as well as leaders from our external partners, to develop, drive, and deliver both technical and operational intent while maintaining the highest levels of well-managed excellence. This is a highly collaborative role spanning project, process, and relationship management. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line.
Responsibilities:Relationship Management
- Champion the client perspective internally and Capital One externally by building trusted, deep relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
- Partner cross-functionally to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership that accelerates project and program efforts.
- Influence senior leadership decisions and discussions through compelling presentations and strategic communications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize high-value initiatives and ensure flawless execution.
Project Management
- Lead and manage moderate to large complex projects and programs by designing project plans and adapting to changing requirements.
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment while balancing scope, resources, and timelines to deliver projects on time.
- Combine a strategic, big-picture mindset with high attention to detail to execute flawlessly and properly document work to mitigate risk with a high level of personal accountability and autonomy..
- Drive integrated, holistic problem-solving across technical, operational, process, and partner-facing domains to untangle complex dependencies, define ambiguous white space, and deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
Process Management
- Review processes and intent end-to-end through the eye of the business, customers, and key stakeholders to deliver well-managed products flawlessly.
- Deliver our well-managed agenda with an eye toward continual process improvement, driving horizontal scale, optimization, and automation opportunities.
- Proactively share learnings across the team and develop data-driven solutions to optimize customer experience.
- Provide integrated and consistent operations support and well-managed oversight across the Card Partnerships business.
Technical Acumen
- Exhibit platform and tech fluency to contribute to technical conversations across internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize technology to problem solve, generate solutions and insights, ensuring technical specifications and end-to-end solutions are grounded in accurate analysis.
This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Military experience
- At least 4 Years of Project Management experience
- At least 1 Year of People Management experience
- At least 1 year of Relationship Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree or MBA
- 5+ years of Project Management experience
- 2+ years of People Management experience
- 2+ years of Relationship Management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
- Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Sales Territory: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project ManagementRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
