Full Job Description
Position Summary...
The Manager, Project and Construction will have a specialty in overseeing and coordinating HVAC and Refrigeration construction and facility projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery while adhering to industry, regulatory, and company standards. They will also support in managing and coordinating other facility categorized projects as needed. This role significantly contributes to the company's growth through expertise in commercial HVAC and refrigeration practices and environmental standards.

What you'll do...

The Manager, Project and Construction Manages large-scale, cross-functional maintenance programs, including capital projects, facility retrofits, and energy-efficiency initiatives. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Monitors project schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and financial performance to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and operational objectives.

Provides leadership and direction to a team of Managers and Supervisors by delivering coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities. Builds and sustains a high-performing, safety-focused maintenance organization through strategic workforce planning, technical training, and succession planning. Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence by establishing clear performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations.

Develops and manages regional project budgets, including labor, materials, operating expenses, and capital expenditures. Evaluates the return on investment of maintenance initiatives and identifies cost reduction opportunities through vendor management, process improvements, and operational efficiencies. Ensures accurate forecasting, financial reporting, and budget control. Maintains compliance with company policies by reviewing and approving corporate card transactions, associate time records, and expenditures to verify alignment with approved scopes of work and budgetary guidelines.

Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, provincial/state, and local regulations, including refrigerant management, mechanical licensing, and environmental requirements. Conducts audits and inspections to identify and mitigate operational risks, including vehicle safety audits, inventory verification, equipment condition assessments, work order documentation reviews, and adherence to operational standards. Partners closely with Safety and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold company standards.

Drives the execution of strategic business plans and maintenance initiatives by identifying operational needs, establishing priorities, allocating resources, and removing barriers to performance. Develops and communicates actionable plans, defines performance metrics, measures progress, and implements corrective actions as needed. Demonstrates adaptability, supports continuous learning, and develops contingency plans to ensure sustained operational effectiveness and business continuity.

The pay range for this position is $91,900.00 - $126,390.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
