ABOUT THE ROLEAs the
Manager Procurement, Marketing Services Portfolio, you will partner with Global Business Units and North America Sales to achieve long-term business objectives, exceed customer expectations, and manage an annual portfolio spend of approximately $160 million.
You will support procurement activities across market research, call center, translation services, and promotions categories by building strong partnerships with stakeholders to provide marketing analysis, lead supplier selection and contracting, and manage ongoing supplier relationships. You will also identify opportunities to drive continuous cost and cash improvements, foster innovation, and proactively manage risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and support sourcing initiatives by assessing internal customer needs, defining business requirements, executing competitive events, developing total-cost-of-ownership models, negotiating agreements, evaluating and selecting suppliers, supporting contracting, and assisting with implementation
- Develop and implement the marketing services procurement strategy and lead cross-functional efforts to deliver cost savings, mitigate inflation, create total value, optimize cash, manage risk, and enable innovation
- Engage with internal customers to understand their needs and translate them into clear business requirements for enterprise-wide sourcing efforts; identify, prioritize, and manage requirements for current, new, and future activities
- Manage supplier relationships by leading quarterly business reviews for key suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving escalated supplier issues
- Deliver objectives aligned with Global Procurement and broader business priorities, including cost, cash, supplier management, customer service, supplier diversity, sustainability, and sales growth
- Drive a culture of strong performance across the portfolio
- Maintain and enhance stakeholder collaboration forums and support team performance via maintenance of performance-tracking tools and promote cross-regional collaboration
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing
- 5-8 years of directly relevant experience in procurement. Relevant experience in marketing or marketing services may be considered in place of direct procurement experience
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS- MBA degree preferred
- Proven track record of achieving results in collaboration with cross-functional management peers
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated urgency and decisiveness, with the ability to take prompt action and proactively influence outcomes
- Strong project and change management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present new ideas to audiences ranging from team members to senior leaders
- Ability to transition quickly between tasks, shift priorities, and adapt to changing business demands
- Strong business and financial-management capabilities, with a clear understanding of how sourcing and procurement decisions affect the profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet
