BASIC PURPOSE:

Responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of sourcing events, compliance with policies and regulations, and optimization of cost structure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, process improvement, project management, and supply chain transformation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (List (in order of relevant importance) a series of brief statements which describe the position’s major functions and end results.  Design and implement process improvement projects that align with Supply Chain goals and priorities.

 Work closely with functional leaders to understand business and process needs, issues and challenges and structures projects accordingly.

 Partner with key stakeholders and functional leads to develop standardized playbooks for the Source-to-Pay and Requisition-to-Delivery processes.

 Implement and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

 Provide training and support to Supply Chain staff on new processes and procedures.

 Ensure appropriate tracking of all Supply Chain projects and compliance to all Supply Chain-related policies including but not limited to Supply Chain involvement, competitive bidding, purchasing approval, purchase orders, and contracts.

 Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement [not sure about this being done by this person3].

 Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain operations.

 Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve supply chain operations.

Major challenges of the position include synthesizing existing policies and procedures and making best in class recommendations to guide supply chain operations. The Processes & Procedures Manager will have to create new processes and procedures [where it does not exist] by collaborating with functional leaders and experts. This leader is a structured and detailed oriented leader with experience supporting supply chain transformation. The incumbent must receive in-house training when required by management and should also engage in continuing education to develop the skills needed to succeed in todays competitive workplace.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: (Degree required or equivalent experience. Functional area of expertise for required degree (i.e., Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, Hotel Management, etc.). Years of experience required. Nature of experience required (i.e., technical skills, Supervisory/ management experience, interpersonal skills, communication skills). Other specialized skills.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on process improvement and project management. Experience with supply chain transformation is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

 Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field.

 Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide recommendations for opportunity based on analysis work.

 Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 Effective in supporting strategic and tactical sourcing teams with process management required for sourcing waves.

 Expertise in research methods and report creation.

 Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

 Facilitating, team-building, strategic thinking, and process-driven skills.
