This role will support Code and Theory's PR and internal communications across the network. You'll partner closely with our agency teams (Kettle, Instrument, Left Field Labs) and Code and Theory leadership to develop narratives, ship announcements and drive consistent visibility through press, awards and events.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Partner with network agencies to draft press releases, pitch and build media lists, develop story angles and support launches (client wins, initiatives, partnerships, thought leadership)
- Serve as a go-to communications liaison across teams and partner agencies, connecting stakeholders, aligning messaging and keeping PR/internal comms workstreams moving
- Pitch media and support inbound opportunities; coordinate interview logistics and briefing materials
- Track and report on press coverage, executive mentions, speaking opportunities and competitive/news moments
- Manage awards and event submissions: calendar, requirements, writing, approvals and post-submission follow-up
- Help prepare for key industry moments and events (conferences, speaking opportunities) by coordinating timelines, materials, briefing docs and follow-up
- Support executive communications: talking points, Q&A, bylines
- Support internal communications: network-wide updates, key announcements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED- 4+ years in communications/PR (in-house or agency)
- Strong writing across press releases, bylines, pitches and briefing docs. You'll be reporting to a former editor so bring your writing chops (not ChatGPTs)
- Comfort working directly with C-suite and executing quickly day-to-day
- Strong organization and a detail-oriented mindset (deadlines, calendars, version control, approvals)
- Experience managing external partners/agencies and keeping workstreams moving
- Proactive ideas, strong judgment and responsive communication
- Interest in (and understanding of) technology and the advertising/agency landscape. Excel at translating complex work into clear narratives
The target range of base compensation for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
