Contribute to the education and development of future pharmacists by serving as a preceptor to students and pharmacy residents when available. What You'll Do • Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge for a Class A license pharmacy and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. • Oversee the centralized prescription fulfillment process, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to regulatory requirements. • Manage and lead a team of pharmacy staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support. • Develop and implement policies and procedures specific to central fill pharmacy operations to ensure consistent and safe practices. • Collaborate with other pharmacy managers and healthcare professionals to optimize medication management and patient care. • Ensure adequate staffing by coordinating coverage during unexpected call-outs, and provide direct support by staffing as needed to maintain operational continuity. • Monitor and manage inventory levels at the central fill location, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste. • Maintain accurate records, including patient profiles, prescription history, and medication orders. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advances in central fill pharmacy operations. • Resolve issues or challenges related to centralized prescription fulfillment. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to pharmacy staff. • Serve as a preceptor to students of affiliated schools of pharmacy and pharmacy residents when available. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/ PharmD • Possess a current, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist license, or eligible for licensure • Texas pharmacist preceptor license Required Years of Experience • 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Manager or in Central Fill Pharmacy Operations Desirable Education and/or Experience • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Healthcare Administration (MHA) Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities • Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal laws governing medical services. • Administrative, management, or supervisory experience. • Exceptional leadership, mediation abilities, and multi-tasking skills required. • Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Basic knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles. • Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software. • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize #INDLP1
