Salary: $100,000-$108,000/year

The Manager of Treasury and Cash Management supports the strategic and operational oversight of the organization's treasury function. This position is responsible for cash and liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting, banking relationships, payment operations, financial risk management, and treasury controls.

The role also leads process improvements, system implementations, and policy development across treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor current and projected liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available for payroll, vendor payments, debt service, capital expenditures, and other obligations.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash-flow forecasts in partnership with FP&A, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and operating teams.
  • Analyze forecast-to-actual results, identify material variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Optimize account balances, cash concentration structures, intercompany funding, and short-term investments.
  • Review and approve cash transfers, funding requests, investments, and other treasury transactions within established authority limits.

Banking and Payment Operations
  • Manage relationships with banks, investment providers, payment processors, and other financial institutions.
  • Administer bank accounts, authorized signers, online banking access, service agreements, and account documentation.
  • Monitor bank fees and service performance, negotiate pricing, and recommend changes to banking arrangements.
  • Oversee payment activities, including ACH, wires, checks, card payments, and electronic disbursements. Assist with Daily Cash Position and Bank Summary as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate payment controls, including segregation of duties, approval workflows, callback procedures, and fraud-prevention services.
  • Coordinate bank account openings, closures, conversions, and integration activities related to acquisitions or organizational restructuring.

Debt, Investments, and Financial Risk
  • Support administration of credit facilities, loans, leases, and other financing arrangements.
  • Manage short-term investments in accordance with approved investment policies and liquidity requirements.
  • Monitor exposure to interest-rates, concentration, and payment-fraud risks.
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations related to funding alternatives and liquidity planning.

Controls, Compliance, and Reporting
  • Maintain treasury policies, standard operating procedures, authorization matrices, and internal control documentation.
  • Ensure treasury activities comply with organizational policies, contractual obligations, accounting requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, confirmations, schedules, and control documentation.
  • Review bank reconciliations and investigate unusual, aged, or unreconciled items.
  • Develop treasury dashboards and reports covering cash balances, liquidity, forecasts, investments, debt, banking fees, and financial risk.
  • Prepare materials for senior management, finance committees, lenders, auditors, and the board of directors.

Systems and Process Improvement
  • Serve as a functional leader for treasury management systems, online banking platforms, ERP integrations, and payment technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to automate cash positioning, forecasting, payments, reconciliations, reporting, and account administration.
  • Lead or support treasury technology implementations, bank transitions, and process redesign initiatives.
  • Review semiannual Workday ERP banking related release notes to identify and ensure testing of all changes affecting our banking process and related banking integrations.
  • Maintain data integrity and appropriate user access across treasury systems and banking platforms.
  • Evaluate emerging banking services and technologies that could improve visibility, security, efficiency, or control.

Leadership and Collaboration
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Treasury Analysts and other finance team members as needed.
  • Establish performance expectations, assign work, and ensure timely completion of critical daily activities.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Information Technology, and operating teams.
  • Provide treasury guidance and training to employees involved in cash forecasting, payments, banking, or financial controls.
  • Serve as acting treasury leader when the Director of Finance and Accounting is unavailable.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, risk awareness, and customer service.
