Full Job Description
Builds partnerships with facility Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) groups to foster collaboration and alignment. Develops and implements education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of CDI staff across the system. Coordinates with facility CDI groups to identify and address educational needs and gaps. Provides guidance and support for process changes to improve documentation integrity and compliance. Collaborates with facility CDI groups to standardize processes and ensure consistency in documentation practices. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of education programs and process changes, making adjustments as needed. Facilitates communication and information sharing between facility CDI groups and system leadership. Develops and disseminates educational materials, including training manuals, guidelines, and best practice documents. Organizes and conducts training sessions, workshops, and webinars for CDI staff. Acts as a resource for facility CDI groups, providing expertise and support for complex documentation issues. Participates in the development and implementation of system-wide CDI policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
• Master's in business or health care related field [Preferred]
Work Experience:
• 2+ experience in clinical documentation integrity in the acute care setting [Required]
• 3+ demonstrated leadership experience including at least 1 year clinical documentation leadership [Required]
• 5+ acute care experience [Required]
• Demonstrated involvement in professional organizations such as the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) [Required]
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) [Preferred]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] OR
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) [Required] OR
• Physician Assistant (PA) [Required] OR
• Medical Doctor (MD) [Required] OR
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) [Required]

Pay Range:
$84,531.20 - $157,248.00
