Job Description: - The Manager of Risk Management oversees the system for identification and analysis of loss or injury exposure, maintaining both mandatory and voluntary incident reporting systems.
- Provides statistical analysis on areas of risk to identify, evaluate, eliminate, or reduce incidents in high-risk areas.
- Coordinates risk education classes for new orienteers and provides continuing education on an annual and as-needed basis.
- Serves as a conduit of information on legal questions and an advisory resource in risk matters for clinical staff.
- Facilitates root cause analysis (RCA) projects for issues/errors with life-threatening potential or serious injury/death.
- Reviews records and documentation on potentially compensable events and reports liability claims to administration and corporate risk management.
- Assures proper and timely investigation of accidents and incidents, including gathering information and sequestering equipment.
- Coordinates legal processes for scheduling statements, depositions, and trial appearances in response to subpoenas.
- Facilitates the patient grievance process, ensuring grievances are investigated and directing inquiries to appropriate directors and managers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: - Bachelor's [Required]
- Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study: - In Marketing, Business, or related field
Work Experience: - 3+ years in risk management or related management experience [Required]
Additional Information: - An equivalent combination of education ad relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:
- Bachelors degree AND 3+ years of experience OR
- Associates degree AND 5+ years of experience OR
- High School Grad or Equivalent AND 7+ years of experience.
Licenses and Certifications: - Driver's License (DL) [Required]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) [Preferred]
