ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a MANAGER- NURSING SERVICE to join our CARDIAC UNIT team!

Salary Range: $50.87 - $81.38 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly

Responsible to the Director of Cardiac Services for providing leadership and management of assigned unit(s)/department(s). Supervises and/or coordinates the functions related to business transactions, medical records management, clinical services, compliance, safety and customer service. Works collaboratively system-wide with administrative and medical staff as needed. Provides direction and is a resource to meet the operational needs of assigned areas of responsibility. Proactively coordinates patient care activities and ensures the nursing process is carried out on all shifts (24/7) by modeling professional growth and clinical leadership. Collaborates with unit staff in the development and implementation of unit goals, unit financial performance, patient safety and performance improvement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing or its equivalent in related field plus one (1) year supervisory/management experience - OR - Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing plus two (2) years supervisory/management experience (may include charge, Administrative Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, etc.) and enrolled in a Bachelor's Program to be completed within two (2) years of hire into the position.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, two and a half (2.5) years in acute care.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as registered nurse. Certification in a specialty area of nursing or obtains within two (2) years of meeting eligibility requirements and accepting position. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or its equivalent in a related field, or active enrollment in Master's program with agreed upon completion date is strongly preferred.
