Full Job Description
About the Role
At fab2 we design and build everything ourselves, from chambers, gas lines, and valves to etch, deposition, and lithography tools to complete fabs. As Manager, Materials Management, you will own the physical flow of material from the receiving dock to the production floor. You will build the receiving, inventory, storage, kitting, and replenishment systems needed to keep every build supplied as production scales.

Responsibilities
  • Lead receiving, inventory control, warehousing, kitting, and internal material movement.
  • Ensure material is received, inspected, transacted, stored, and available to production on time.
  • Build complete kits for components, tools, and fabs against the production schedule.
  • Establish storage locations, supermarkets, lineside inventory, and point-of-use replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate quantities, locations, revisions, lot numbers, serial numbers, and material status in our ERP/MES.
  • Develop cycle-counting processes and find and fix the root causes of inventory discrepancies.
  • Design material flow from receiving through storage, assembly, test, and finished goods.
  • Define material-handling and packaging standards for sensitive, cleanroom, and high-value components.
  • Work with Sourcing & Planning to prioritize incoming material and resolve shortages affecting production.
  • Work with Manufacturing to improve inventory, kitting, and material-flow workflows in our ERP/MES.
  • Track inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, kit completeness, shortage aging, and lineside availability.
  • Hire, train, and lead inventory specialists, materials specialists, and receiving and kitting personnel as the team grows.
  • Support the launch and operation of materials areas across Fab2 sites.

Required Experience
  • 5+ years in materials management, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience leading receiving, inventory, kitting, or material-handling teams in a production environment.
  • Track record maintaining high inventory accuracy and improving material availability to production.
  • Experience developing warehouse layouts, storage systems, cycle-counting programs, and lineside replenishment.
  • Fluency with ERP, MRP, WMS, or MES inventory systems.
  • Ability to read BOMs, drawings, part numbers, and revision-controlled manufacturing documentation.

Nice-to-have
  • Experience with semiconductor equipment, aerospace, robotics, automotive, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience supporting production as it scales from prototype builds to recurring or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom material handling, lot traceability, serialized components, and controlled inventory.
