About the Role:

The Manager, MarTech Architecture & Engineering serves as the senior technical leader for the Marketing Technology ecosystem, combining architecture leadership, engineering people leadership, and strategic business partnership. This role is responsible for establishing technical direction, governing architecture standards, developing engineering capability, and ensuring business priorities are translated into scalable, sustainable technology solutions.

The position serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, architects, and engineering teams and is accountable for maintaining architectural coherence across Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platform (CDP), Web, Analytics, CRM, and integration platforms. The role leads a team of senior engineers and technical specialists while partnering closely with Product owners and Business leaders to shape, enable, and deliver high-impact MarTech initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, maintain, and evolve MarTech architecture standards, principles, integration patterns, and governance frameworks across Marketing Automation, CDP, CRM, Analytics, Web, and customer engagement platforms.


  • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight for complex, high-impact, and cross-platform initiatives.


  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, compliance, scalability, reliability, and operational standards.


  • Drive platform modernization, optimization, technical debt reduction, and long-term sustainability across the MarTech ecosystem.


  • Serve as the senior technical authority for architecture decisions, technical escalations, and cross-platform challenges.


  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists while fostering a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.


  • Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technology leaders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions and strategic roadmaps.


  • Facilitate solution discovery, technical planning, architecture decision-making, and trade-off discussions for strategic initiatives.


  • Govern delivery readiness by managing technical risks, dependencies, platform health, resource planning, and solution quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.


  • Drive collaboration and alignment across Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and business teams to ensure consistent technology standards and cohesive customer experiences.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.


  • 10 +years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, marketing technology, or related technical disciplines.


  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, engineering organizations, architecture functions, or technical programs.


  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise application architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and cloud-based technologies.


  • Experience working across multiple MarTech platforms such as Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms, CRM, Analytics, Web Technologies, or Customer Engagement Platforms.


  • Strong stakeholder management and business engagement skills.


  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into technical strategies and execution plans.


  • Experience leading architecture reviews, governance processes, and technical decision-making.


Preferred

  • An advanced degree or equivalent specialized MarTech certifications is preferred


  • Experience within large-scale enterprise MarTech environments.


  • Experience supporting Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementations and customer identity ecosystems.


  • Experience with architecture governance frameworks and operating models.


  • Experience leading modernization or digital transformation initiatives.


  • Experience in highly regulated, complex, or matrixed organizations.


  • Certifications in cloud, architecture, or relevant technology platforms.
