What we offer

As the Manager, Logistics & Distribution, you will oversee the movement of materials and finished goods throughout the supply chain, ensuring products arrive on time and cost-effectively. Working closely with the Director, Supply Chain, you'll help build out the logistics function as the business scales, including establishing distribution processes and transportation practices, and forging 3PL partnerships. It's a fast-paced, high-growth environment with real ownership over day-to-day logistics operations and how they evolve as the company expands.

What you'll do
  • Leveraging ERP, ensure inventory locations are defined for finished goods including storage and inventory accuracy to prevent shipment delays.
  • Establish standardized staging, labeling, and quality/documentation checks so finished goods are outbound-ready and released only when compliant.
  • Coordinate with Production to ensure completed goods move seamlessly into warehouse storage without bottlenecking the line.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and flow (FIFO/lot control) to maximize storage efficiency and minimize handling time.
  • Align finished-goods readiness with carrier pickup windows and outbound schedules to avoid dock delays.
  • Champion safety and organizational standards across warehouse operations.
  • Lead the outbound shipment planning and route optimization.
  • Establish best in class distribution processes within ERP systems.
  • Support inbound and outbound transportation operations to ensure cost-effective and reliable movement of materials and finished goods.
  • Manage 3PL relationships, support negotiations, distribution performance, and service levels.
  • Lead scheduling activities and coordinate delivery requirements with Operations, Procurement, Fleet and Production teams.
  • Monitor distribution costs and identify savings opportunities through optimization and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain regulations, safety requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Develop distribution KPIs and reporting to monitor throughput performance and delivery success.
  • Resolve logistics issues while minimizing disruptions to production and customer commitments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics function.
  • Other duties as required.


What you bring
  • College diploma or post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience developing SOPs, ERP setup within a start-up environment
  • Knowledge of freight management, scheduling, routing, and transportation regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, start-up environment.


Bonus Points
  • Experience within manufacturing, building products, or construction materials industries.
  • Knowledge of over-dimensional shipments, requirements, and permitting.
  • Strong financial acumen, including leading P&Ls.
  • CLTD, CITT, or related supply chain certification.
  • Commercial fleet management.
  • Accountable for multiple sites responsibilities in a unionized environment.


Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000-$130,000. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
