  • Ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory in Quantum Control and align it with physical counts.
  • Manage the relationship with the third-party distribution center and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Report on inventory metrics and address any control gaps identified.

Full Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of operational inventory at FTAI's Miami MRO parts distribution operation. This is a senior individual-contributor role that owns the inventory control environment and runs the day-to-day relationship with the third-party distribution center. Sets priorities, dispatches tasks, holds the 3PL to standard, and is the site's escalation point into Global Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:
  • Authority

• Owns the inventory control environment for Miami and can direct and prioritize day-to-day inventory work across the 3PL.
• Assigns and follows through on counts, investigations, holds, and corrections; can place and release inventory holds.
• Site-level escalation point for inventory issues; decides what gets fixed locally and what goes up to Global Supply Chain.
• Signs off on cycle count plans, variance write-offs within set thresholds, and corrective-action closure.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Control

• Own inventory accuracy across all stock consigned, owned, USM.
• Keep perpetual inventory clean in Quantum Control; reconcile the system of record to physical and 3PL-reported positions.
• Own the cycle count program (ABC-based); chase variances to root cause and close them.
• Make sure parts coming back to stock (repair returns, cores) are received and booked right, with correct condition codes and traceability (ARC/COC).
• Keep part status accurate; manage holds and their release.
  • Third-Party Distribution Center

• Day-to-day owner of the 3PL relationship and first point of contact.
• Direct and prioritize their work; hold them to SLAs receiving accuracy, put-away, pick/pack, count compliance, inventory accuracy.
• Run the daily/weekly cadence; push corrective action on discrepancies and service misses and drive to closure.
• Check facility pass-through activity; reconcile billed vs. actual against the contract.
  • Controls, Reporting & Escalation

• Bridge between the site and Global Supply Chain on inventory issues, shortages, and holds.
• Report inventory KPIs and exceptions accuracy %, cycle count results, shrinkage, aged/held stock.
• Find control gaps and fix the process behind them.
• Keep the operation compliant with internal controls, audit requirements, and FAA/EASA traceability.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in inventory control with real ownership of a control environment; aviation MRO, aerospace, or regulated parts distribution preferred.
  • Has directed a 3PL or distribution center and held it to SLAs.
  • Knows aviation parts documentation (ARC, COC, USM, condition codes) and FAA/EASA traceability.
  • Hands-on ERP; Quantum Control preferred.


  • Strong on root-cause work and cycle countmethodology.
  • Can set priorities, hand out work, and drive things to resolution without being managed through it.
  • Miami-based, on-site at the distribution center.

Job Demands:

Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
