Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end intercompany accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting for all Novolex entities across North America, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Manage, coach, and develop the intercompany accounting team, including one Junior Manager and two Staff Accountants, with responsibility for hiring, performance management, workload allocation, and career development.
- Own the intercompany month-end close calendar and execution, including establishing deadlines and reviewing and approving journal entries, reversals, reclassifications, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; prepare entries directly when necessary.
- Oversee entity-level consolidation activities across SAP, OneStream, BlackLine, Baan, and PRMS, ensuring consistent application of accounting policies and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Direct the investigation and resolution of intercompany differences, escalate significant or recurring issues, coordinate timely settlements, and ensure the integrity of intercompany balances across North American entities.
- Review and approve general ledger, vendor, and customer reconciliations and variance analyses, ensuring reconciling items are properly supported, clearly explained, and resolved promptly.
- Partner with Operations, Business Unit Finance, Accounts Payable, and external auditors to resolve accounting matters, fulfill audit requirements, and improve the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
- Lead the transition of intercompany accounting activities from decentralized, entity-level execution to a standardized, scalable North American operating model, including process assessment, operating-model design, documentation, stakeholder alignment, knowledge transfer, automation, systems enhancement, and change management.
- Analyze intercompany results, trends, and risks, and communicate clear insights and recommendations to Corporate Accounting leadership and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and close and reporting requirements.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000-$120,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
