Full Job Description
What is my role?
The Inbound Logistics Manager is responsible for the daily supervision of the inbound logistics, department, and successful planning and execution of inbound shipments from all origins to Distribution Centers.
What You'll Do
Supervise staff and supply chain vendor partners to maintain adequate visibility and monitoring of all inbound shipments arriving to our DC's
Review production and sourcing vendor capacity matrix to ensure container forecast and capacity plans are in place by origin
Monitor vendor bookings and on-time departures at origin to ensure on-time delivery at our DC's
Regularly communicate with Customer Service, Account Representatives, and Operations personnel to provide updates and resolve issues in a timely fashion to ensure on time and quality shipments reach our DC's
Monitor and ensure Customs Compliance is in place for all inbound shipments across the company
Manage and proactively communicate any exceptions with inbound shipments to appropriate parties
Develop and update internal and external SOP's and business rules across all components of inbound logistics to improve performance
Assist other Team Members when called open
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
5+ years' experience in an inbound logistics position
Experience working directly with ocean and air freight carriers, overseas factories, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, domestic transportation providers to support inbound operations
Strong teamwork skills
Able to maintain a professionalism and positive attitude with team members, management and brand and retail customers in all situations
Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
