TITLE: MANAGER II - PLANNING & INVENTORY
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MANAGER II - PLANNING & INVENTORY
• Provide overall management in the capacity of inventory planning.
• Oversee, guide and mentor Master Planners to ensure that they are achieving their goals, objectives and the greater company need.
• Assist planners in detailed scheduling and decision making as needed.
• Promote suggestions and develop improvement strategies and plans to optimize the material and production planning processes.
• Oversee implementation of new planning tools and systems enhancements to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing operation.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED FOR THE MANAGER II - PLANNING & INVENTORY
• Four-year college degree with a concentration in Business, Industrial or Inventory Management, Operations Planning or Logistics. APICS certification desired
• Minimum of seven years in a manufacturing planning or operations environment, including a minimum of two years' experience in Order Scheduling, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics or Manufacturing Management. Leadership roles in cross-discipline teams or projects; experience managing staff preferred.
• Ability to evaluate and analyze information and provide creative solutions.
• Quantitative and analytical skills, and Interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and control emotional situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
• Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and organizational problems.
• Develop relationships with key customers to identify emerging needs.
• Effectively coach and give performance feedback that provides development opportunities within or across areas or departments.
• Ability and motivation to promote a high-performance work environment.
• Ability to direct and supervise employees, to objectively evaluate performance, to lead inter-disciplinary activities in solving complex problems, to train and develop others, and to organize, prioritize, and lead multiple tasks and make appropriate decisions to complete objectives.
