Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of frontline leaders and associates, creating development plans, delivering structured feedback, and building a pipeline of talent ready for increased responsibility.
- Own safety performance for your area by modeling protocols, conducting regular gemba walks, analyzing safety metrics, and making real-time decisions that prioritize associate well-being over production targets.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring key performance indicators, identifying systemic issues, and implementing data-driven process improvements that align with site-level goals.
- Manage shift operations through your frontline leadership team, establishing clear roles, consistent processes, and effective performance-tracking systems that enable results at scale.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with support partners in safety, human resources, and learning to balance department needs, share insights, and support site-wide initiatives.
A day in the life
Your day begins with a review of overnight safety and performance metrics, followed by a pre-shift stand-up where you align your frontline leaders on priorities and address any emerging issues. From there, you spend time on the floor observing workflows, coaching associates, and identifying opportunities to improve quality or throughput. You connect with cross-functional partners to resolve staffing or equipment challenges, then close out the shift by reviewing results and preparing a handoff for the incoming team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
