Overview

The Manager, Human Resources serves as a strategic Human Resources Business Partner to Store Support Office leadership. This role helps leaders achieve business objectives through effective talent and organizational strategies. The role translates business strategy into people solutions that build leadership effectiveness, strengthen talent pipelines, support workforce planning, and position the organization to execute current and future business objectives. #LI-AD1

Essential Functions

HIRE SPROUTIES
  • Raise the bar on talent by partnering with leadership and Talent Acquisition to select and intentionally place top talent with the right role, leader, and team.
  • Use business priorities and workforce trends to anticipate hiring needs and recommend proactive talent solutions.
  • Challenge leaders to maintain high talent standards by making disciplined talent decisions, addressing performance gaps, and holding underperforming talent accountable.
  • Drive strong succession planning by building workforce plans and talent pipelines that balance internal movement, external hiring, and development of high-potential talent.

SHAPE OUR CULTURE
  • Shape a strong, values-led culture by advising leaders on decisions and behaviors that strengthen team member experience, leadership accountability, recognition, trust, and Sprouts leadership expectations.
  • Use business insight, workforce trends and organizational health data to identify culture risks, diagnose root causes, and drive practical actions that improve loyalty, retention, and engagement.
  • Guide complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, balanced risk assessment, and a focus on fairness, consistency, and trust.
  • Lead the people side of business change by aligning leaders, preparing teams for transition, and helping the organization adopt new ways of working with care and minimal disruption.

DEVELOP TALENT
  • Create a culture of continuous growth by holding leaders accountable for regular talent conversations, meaningful feedback, and development actions that increase readiness and performance.
  • Drive intentional development by coaching leaders to build focused IDPs based on performance, potential, readiness, and our leadership competencies.
  • Strengthen leadership capability by advising leaders on team effectiveness, change leadership, talent management practices, and development experiences that improve performance and engagement.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and other HR Centers of Excellence to use talent and workforce insights that improve retention, readiness, internal mobility, and leadership effectiveness.

REWARD & PERFORM
  • Consult on organizational design, team structures, role clarity, spans of control, and workforce deployment to align resources with business priorities and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure leaders apply employment laws, company policies, and HR practices consistently while enabling practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Drive performance discipline by helping leaders set clear expectations, use consistent routines, address performance gaps, and make timely, well-documented decisions.
  • Partner with Total Rewards on competitive, fair, and performance-driven programs that support retention, profitability, and business outcomes.
  • Use workforce analytics and simplified HR operating practices to identify risk, improve productivity, and drive effective action planning.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years as professional a high performing human resource professional experience (corporate retail experience desired)
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or business-related field (equivalent work experience & SHRM certified considered)
  • In depth knowledge of HR principles and practices and knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements desired
  • Effective conflict resolution skills, professional transparency, decision making and sound business acumen
  • Applicable experiences in innovative ER approaches, risk management and policy development, interpretation, and application
  • Exhibits excellent judgement and interpersonal skills
  • Experience effectively managing high performing teams
  • Ability to engage and influence results across multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong influencing skills - ability to build relationships, navigate the organization to effectively execute cross-functional initiatives
