The Manger 6 HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner) serves as a strategic partner to business and site leadership, aligning people strategies with organizational objectives to drive business performance, employee engagement, and operational excellence. This role provides leadership and consultation in talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, and change management within a dynamic industrial environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with HSE and plant leadership to support a strong safety culture, engagement, recognition and alignment with safety policies and procedures.
  • Partner with business and plant leadership to develop and execute workforce strategies that support operational and financial objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching to leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership development.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring consistent policy application and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive talent management processes, including succession planning, talent reviews, performance management, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Serve as primary liaison between the site and the Corporate Centers of Excellence, ensuring coordinated and effective delivery of HR initiatives to employees.
  • Partner with recruiting teams and business leaders to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention efforts.
  • Develop and implement employee development programs that strengthen organizational capability and build future leadership pipelines.
  • Facilitate HR-related training and leadership development programs that promote compliance, engagement, and a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards to manage compensation-related programs, including job evaluations, compensation reviews, promotions, and salary recommendations.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations that improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Lead HR projects, change initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance processes, employee experience, and business results.
  • Lad site employee engagement initiatives, including communications, recognition programs and community or employee events.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • May supervise, mentor, and develop HR team members, fostering professional growth and overall HR team effectiveness.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labor Relation, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field. Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, compensation, performance management and workforce planning.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of HR leadership experience supporting industrial or chemical manufacturing, refining, energy or other complex operational environments.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with business leaders to develop and implement human capital strategies that drive business performance and organizational growth.
  • Experience using HR analytics and workforce data to support strategic decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, consultation and relationship management skills
  • Strong employee relations background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Supervision, team leadership, coaching or mentoring preferred.
  • Experience with Workday or comparable HRIS system preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position also requires sound judgment and the ability to perform activities requiring sustained concentration.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate in office settings. Some work may be required in operating units, where use of required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is mandatory. The role may involve exposure to outdoor elements and may require the use of stairs and elevators. Occasional travel by air or automobile may be required.
