Human Resources Manager

Location: Venice, FL at PGT (Part of MITER Brands)

Compensation Range: $98,000.00 - $123,000.00 (depending on experience)

Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner responsible for leading and deploying HR initiatives aligned with the company's strategic objectives. This role plays a critical part in driving HR excellence, fostering a high-performance culture, supporting operational leadership, and ensuring alignment between business goals and HR practices.

The HR Manager will provide leadership across all areas of Human Resources including employee relations, talent acquisition partnership, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, payroll oversight, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning within a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and deploy HR strategic initiatives within the local facility and across the business unit in alignment with company objectives.
  • Serve as an active member of the local leadership team by providing guidance related to HR policies, procedures, employment laws, standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage and support a variety of complex HR initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Lead change management initiatives while ensuring clear communication and understanding of roles and responsibilities.
  • Analyze workforce trends, metrics, and data to provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Train supervisors and managers on HR programs, policies, procedures, and leadership practices.
  • Continuously improve local HR programs and initiatives to enhance the overall team member experience.
  • Lead leadership development efforts to strengthen supervisor and manager effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and partner cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.
  • Address employee concerns and support resolution strategies that create positive business and employee outcomes.
  • Partner with leaders to manage performance, conduct, and employee relations matters.
  • Support and partner with the site safety program including management of Workers' Compensation processes.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment and selection activities for exempt and non-exempt positions, including temporary and contract labor.
  • Collaborate with Compensation and Benefits teams to support benefits administration and escalated employee issues.
  • Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Partner with enterprise and site leadership teams to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of all functional areas of Human Resources including employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, payroll, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments and functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and support leadership decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR Generalist experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Prior experience leading or supporting an HR team preferred.
  • Manufacturing environment experience required.
  • Strong experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations.
  • Experience partnering with operational leadership teams preferred.
