Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health preferred, certification in country-specific health, safety, and environment required.
• Experience in health and safety roles, preferably in warehouse or manufacturing settings, along with program development and administration.
• Knowledge of country-specific health and safety standards, including OSHA, ISO, DOT compliance, and EPA regulations.
• OSHA 10-hour certification or Basic Knowledge of Plant Safety and Current First Aid/CPR as a First Responder is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the flexibility for on-call hours as needed.
• Ability to travel 50-75% and manage multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain health and safety management systems and training programs per current legislation.
• Represent the company during external audits and ensure compliance with audit standards.
• Design and develop health and safety procedures, monitor, and implement updates on regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate risk assessment activities and analyze data to present to senior management, focusing on data-driven strategies to reduce accidents.
• Investigate accidents and manage documentation for insurance claims, liaising with relevant parties effectively.
• Develop and deliver training programs to reduce workplace accidents, ensuring all employees receive necessary safety training.
• Represent the company in internal and external safety meetings, monitoring actions and data presented to stakeholders.
• Inspect facilities and equipment for hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and review new processes for safety requirements.
