AWS Trainium Hardware Engineering is looking for a leader to deliver development, implementation, and reliability for our accelerated GPU offerings in AWS. In this role, you will lead your team to deliver novel hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation, maturation, and eventually deprecation. You will be responsible for planning ahead to avoid hardware defects, and driving any problems to zero. You will lead a team of skilled hardware engineers, to manage ODMs and work with internal stakeholders. In this role, you will define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership. Your work will directly enable Amazon's customer's ability to deliver AI related offerings and research.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Experienced Hardware development manager with strong skills in both hardware and software. In this role, you will be responsible for system design, validation, and integration of hardware in the AWS fleet through its entire life cycle. You will work cross functionally with AWS monitoring teams, members of the Hardware Design team, and additional teams across AWS to improve quality and reliability of products operating in the fleet.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (EE / CE)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with High-Speed design, validation and experience with Schematic and layout tools.
- Drive ODM HW development and testing and be part of the Production flow definition team
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing and operationally supporting high volume enterprise servers
- Hands-on experience with system-level analysis and debug
- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service and experience in managing and troublshooting network
- Experience in managing both Hardware and Software/Systems Development teams
- Experience Leading end-to-end server hardware development lifecycle from Concept, Architecture, Design, Validation and Production
- Experience in working with CM/OEM/ODM vendors for design development and manufacturing
- Experience Leading PCB board design for server motherboards, accelerator carrier boards, and high-speed interconnect boards.
- Experience in collaborating with silicon, firmware, and system software teams to enable optimal hardware/software co-design.
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
