Benefits
This role will own S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning). When the business sets a growth target or plans a ramp, you will model whether our supply base and tooling can actually support it, what it will cost, how long it takes to get there, and where it breaks. That answer needs to be defensible, because capacity commitments and capital tooling decisions will be made on it.
You will lead two managers: Global Supply Chain Planning Manager and a Global Supply Chain Analyst Manager, across a team of seven covering across all lines of business in both US and international markets. Leading through managers is the core of this role, though the person will stay close enough to the data to build and challenge models themselves. You will partner closely with Operations, Product, and Finance, and will be the executive-facing voice on all things Supply Chain Planning.
You’ll report to the Director, Global Supply Chain and work onsite from our Santa Ana, CA office headquarters.
Up to 15% travel is required (including international travel), along with a current and valid passport.
Onsite Requirement:
This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week.
What You’ll Do:
Own the demand plan for all raw materials, components, and consumables required to manufacture customer orders across the global facility network
Translate the production and volume signal from Finance and Operations into time-phased material requirements by part, site, and horizon
Own the monthly S&OP cycle, delivering material and tooling feasibility and the supply-side recommendation into executive review
Model ramp-ups, new product introductions, and facility launches to determine whether the supply base and tooling can support the plan, by when, and at what cost
Identify and quantify supply-side constraints to growth early, with options and a clear recommendation
Own tooling capacity planning and the tooling investment pipeline, managing long lead times so capacity is in place before demand arrives
Model supplier capacity by critical component and the volume ceilings it imposes on the business
Build the business cases for tooling and material capacity investment, and reduce single-tool and single-source exposure in partnership with Supplier Relations
Own inventory strategy, safety stock policy, planning parameters, and inventory control governance across all sites
Own master administration and data integrity for IMS, WMS, and manufacturing planning systems
Own the supply chain KPI set, supply risk reporting, supplier scorecard analytics, and cost analysis across all lines of business
Lead and develop managers across planning and analytics, holding them accountable for their teams' output and growth
Serve as the supply chain planning partner to Operations, Finance, Supplier Relations, and the line of business teams, and present clearly to senior leadership
Who You Are:
Required:
8+ years of experience in materials planning, demand planning, supply planning, MRP, or supply chain analytics, including 3+ years leading teams and experience managing managers or team leads
Experience leading both a planning team and an analytics team, or credible capability across both disciplines
Demonstrated ownership of a raw material or component demand plan in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with accountability for material availability and forecast accuracy as measured outcomes
Strong working knowledge of MRP logic, bill-of-material structures, consumption and yield modeling, and time-phased material requirements planning
Hands-on experience owning S&OP or integrated business planning process, including supply feasibility and constraint analysis
Advanced analytical and modeling capability, expert-level Excel or Google Sheets, plus working proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
Experience owning a KPI framework and managing supply chain performance against an annual operating plan
Track record translating analysis into recommendations that senior leaders act on, including investment decisions
Experience in a high-growth environment where the planning process had to be built rather than inherited
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred:
Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Analytics, or a related field
APICS CPIM, CSCP, or IBF demand planning certification
Experience planning injection-molded, printed, or converted components, including tooling lead times and multi-cavity tool capacity
Experience with planning systems such as Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, SAP IBP, or comparable
Python or R for forecasting, statistical modeling, or process automation
Experience supporting rapid multi-site scale-up, including qualifying materials and tooling in new geographies
High-volume consumer products or multi-site manufacturing background.
