Summary

The Fuel, Stations and Treasury Accounting Manager is responsible for business and accounting functions within the Fuel Accounting, Stations Accounting and Treasury Accounting areas. This position is responsible for reporting the Company's fuel expense; ensuring fuel inventory, fuel prepaid, stations accruals, stations expense, treasury activity and related general ledger account balances are properly stated. The role supervises month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, SOX compliance, audit support, process improvements and the development of team members. This position requires the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, accountability and dependability.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

  • Experience with Financial Process Controls.

  • Ability to handle multiple and competing tasks simultaneously and work closely with various departments and team members.

Job Duties
  • Oversee month-end close activities including data validation, journal entry preparation and review.
  • Review of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure outstanding issues are resolved timely.
  • Review monthly treasury balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure outstanding issues are resolved timely.
  • Supervise payment processing accounting functions, including debt and investment-related activity.
  • Oversee the fuel, stations and treasury accounting teams, ensuring deadlines are met timely, issues are resolved, and team members receive feedback and coaching that supports a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement changes and improvements to existing policies, procedures and internal controls to improve fuel, stations and treasury accounting processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with Sarbanes Oxley by writing, reviewing and participating in the audit of SOX narratives, as well as ensuring the fuel, stations and treasury accounting teams follow approved procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of annual 1099 filings.
  • Represent the fuel, stations and treasury accounting teams on organizational project teams that involve third-party systems initiatives and internal development initiatives.
  • Assist with the yearly financial audit by ensuring that all requested data is provided timely.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of required government, internal and external reports.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests and inquiries from management and other departments.
  • Assist in performing analytics.
  • Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
Essential Services Provider

Allegiant as a national air carrier is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team Members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state or federal order.
