Full Job Description
The College of Southern Nevada and the CSN Foundation seeks an experienced philanthropy professional with a passion for nonprofit excellence. The Manager, Foundation Scholarships, reports to the CSN Foundation Executive Director and is a key member of the Foundation team who are focused on providing our donors with the highest level of service in support of their charitable giving. The Manager, Foundation Scholarships, is responsible for the overall administration of Foundation scholarships as well as the development of protocols, policies and best practices for the development and management of Foundation scholarships, to include eligibility criteria, fund management, maintaining a robust scholarship database, compliance, program planning and implementation, and policy development. This position will serve as the initial point of contact for inquiries regarding Foundation scholarships and serve as the liaison to the Office of Financial Aid and other College departments. Primary responsibilities in coordination with the Executive Director, the Manager, Foundation Scholarships, oversees the full cycle of Foundation scholarships, and is responsible for managing and administering the Foundation’s portfolio of scholarships and endowed scholarship funds. The successful candidate will be deeply familiar with annual and individual giving best practices, scholarship development, management of application systems, ensuring compliance with donor and grant agreements, and fund management. Evaluates the Foundation's scholarship program; identifying opportunities for promotion, growth and excellence, while improving the donor, college, and recipient experience. The Manager, Foundation Scholarships, will work as part of the CSN Foundation Team to build relationships with donors, recipients, and college programs. This position will require the individual to be innovative, results driven, highly organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be excited to take on new challenges, and able to work well independently and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Duties will include but not be limited to: Provide weekly reports to the CSN Foundation Executive Director. Prepare board and committee meeting materials. Recruit and direct volunteers and work effectively with large community groups, projects, and events. Lead and demonstrate techniques associated with developing collaborative and effective partnerships with colleagues, donors, alumni, and community members at local, regional, state, and national levels as required. A consummate team player with a flexible, collaborative, and creative approach who can lead from behind and empower teammates to contribute their best.
