Full Job Description
This role supports our Express 4x4 Truck Rental team. Established in 1993 and acquired by Sasser in 2013, we offer flexible and affordable, mid- to long-term ½-ton, ¾-ton and 1-ton pick-up truck rentals for or clients, with a commitment to on-time delivery, anywhere in North America.

The Manager of Fleet Remarketing supports Express 4x4 Truck Rental remarketing operations through developing an independent nationwide client base of vehicle auctions and uncovering new opportunities to remarket vehicles through prospective accounts.

As a Manager of Fleet Remarketing, Here's What You Will Do:
  • Effectively manage all assigned auction functions and performance.
  • Respond to sales inquiries within assigned territory and generate new opportunities to sell or purchase trucks
  • Liquidating inventory through wholesale channels such as dealers, independent auctions, Manheim, ADESA. etc., including current and prospective clients
  • Manage relationships at independent auctions and dealers to build Express reputation to explore, introduce, and grow remarketing efforts.
  • Work directly with operations, logistics, license, and title to ensure all aspects of accelerated remarketing projects are fulfilled in a timely manner (e.g., pick-ups, vehicle assignment)
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and recommend the strategy and procedures as needed.
  • Responsibility for direct sale function and processing.
  • Responsible for vehicle staging, flooring/pricing, auction recon, negotiation of offers, receipt of sale proceeds to include title receipt from clients, payment, etc.).
  • Serves as subject matter expert on company remarketing capabilities to assist with client presentations and calls.
  • Develop a rapport and negotiate with all auction personnel to maximize strategic location / placement of vehicles.
  • Develop relationships with outside sales department personnel to assist in penetrating new markets and securing new clients.
  • Optimize the use of the dealer direct and customer direct websites as part of the broader remarketing strategy.
  • Utilize Auto IMS and various internal systems such as Power BI or similar to analyze effectiveness and performance of Express network, regional performance, and individual auction performance.
  • Provide expert direction on issues relating to vehicle remarketing. Research and determine solutions for problems pertaining to vehicle sales, title issues, quote issues, etc.
  • Maintain and enhance vendor and industry relationships including occasional travel.


Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • A minimum of three years' experience in vehicle remarketing, fleet leasing and management industry or other related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, however acceptable relevant experience may substitute for education requirement
  • Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid State Driver's License
  • Required to obtain a PA vehicle salesperson license within 6 months of hire


Skills
  • Understanding of independent vehicle auctions, full-cycle remarketing process and opportunities
  • Understanding of used/wholesale vehicle values and MMR guidebooks, etc.

Compensation/Benefits

The hiring range for this role is: $85,000 - $95,000 USD Annual. This role is classified as exempt for purposes of all applicable wage and hour laws, which means that the individual hired will receive overtime pay for more than 40 hours worked in a workweek. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on financial and personal performance throughout the plan year.

Sasser is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data according to 3rd party salary benchmarking surveys. Actual base salary is dependent upon factors such as knowledge, skill level, and experience.
