As a
Manager - Financial Crime & Compliance Consulting, you will lead client engagements and workstreams focused on financial crime, regulatory compliance, and risk transformation for banking and insurance organizations. You will advise senior stakeholders, shape practical solutions, and guide multidisciplinary teams through the design and execution of target operating models, regulatory change initiatives, and AI-enabled transformation. You will be accountable for high-quality delivery, strong client relationships, team development, and the identification of opportunities to create additional client value.
Key responsibilities include:- Lead engagement teams and workstreams delivering financial crime and compliance advisory and transformation initiatives, using analytics, automation, and AI-enabled approaches where they can improve insight, efficiency, control effectiveness, and business outcomes.
- Advise senior client stakeholders on financial crime, regulatory compliance, operational risk, and strategic priorities, translating complex requirements into clear decisions, transformation roadmaps, and executable actions.
- Design and implement target operating models for compliance, risk, and financial crime functions, including organization design, governance, processes, controls, data, technology, and responsible AI considerations.
- Shape digital and AI-enabled transformation initiatives across areas such as transaction monitoring, KYC and customer due diligence, sanctions screening, fraud, regulatory compliance, and case-management modernization.
- Manage delivery from scoping and work planning through resource and budget management, quality assurance, and client reporting, while developing junior consultants, supporting proposals, and contributing to thought leadership and practice assets.
Your Skills + Experience
You bring deep expertise in Financial Crime and Compliance, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), KYC/CDD, sanctions, fraud risk management, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance. You understand how emerging technologies, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities are transforming financial crime functions and helping organizations strengthen risk management, improve operational effectiveness, and meet evolving regulatory expectations. You are able to identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance compliance outcomes, optimize processes, and support large-scale transformation initiatives. You collaborate effectively across compliance, risk, operations, technology, and data teams to design and deliver innovative solutions, with a strong appreciation for governance, regulatory requirements, responsible AI principles, privacy, security, and model risk considerations. You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a continuous learning mindset, and a passion for helping financial institutions navigate an increasingly complex regulatory and financial crime landscape.
Required Experience:- 10-15 years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience in financial crime and compliance within the US banking or insurance market, including areas such as AML, KYC and customer due diligence, sanctions, fraud, transaction monitoring, or regulatory compliance.
- Proven management consulting experience, or equivalent internal consulting or advisory experience within a financial institution, with demonstrated success leading client-facing teams and complex transformation work.
- Experience designing or implementing target operating models for compliance, risk, or financial crime functions, together with strategic advisory experience in operating-model assessments, business-case development, or regulatory change.
- Practical familiarity with AI-enabled and digital transformation, including automation, machine-learning applications in financial crime detection, intelligent case management, or analytics-driven compliance solutions; an understanding of responsible AI, governance, privacy, and security is also expected.
- Subject-matter depth in at least one of the following sectors: Wealth Management, Corporate & Investment Banking, or Insurance.
- Strong understanding of the US regulatory environment relevant to financial crime and compliance, including applicable BSA/AML, OFAC, FinCEN, OCC, Federal Reserve, FINRA, or state insurance regulatory considerations.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder-influencing, client-management, and people-leadership skills, including experience coaching and developing consulting teams.
- Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred. Relevant certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CRCM, or CFCS are preferred; a project or program management certification is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $140,000 to $175,000

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
