Job DescriptionNordstrom is seeking a results-oriented, highly curious, and driven People Manager to join our Inventory Finance team. This experienced leader will bring strong financial modeling and critical thinking skills, demonstrate effective communication through regular business partnership, and lead a team focused on returns, inbound integrity, and shrink. The successful candidate is a confident people leader who develops talent, drives accountability, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is the norm and the stakes are high.
*This role is Hybrid – downtown Seattle, WA and does require you to be in office 4 days per week
A day in the life…- Lead and develop a team of finance analysts supporting returns, inbound, and shrink workstreams, building a culture of intellectual curiosity, ownership, and high performance
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to leaders, working cross-functionally to track, re-design and improve economic outcomes
- Build and maintain financial models, KPI scorecards, and reporting frameworks that surface actionable insights for leaders across Finance, Operations, and Merchandising
- Proactively identify process improvements and drive more efficient, accurate financial reporting across your team’s domain
- Perform and direct ad hoc analyses, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders across Operations
You own this if you have…- 7+ years of related finance experience, with at least 2 years in a people management role; retail or supply chain industry experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
- Deep passion for working on behalf of customers, with an understanding of how supply chain efficiency directly drives customer experience
- Strong analytical, modeling, and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data to back assumptions, recommendations, and drive action
- Experience managing team performance and outcomes through KPIs, scorecards, and structured development conversations
- Strengths in problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities across a high-volume portfolio
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- Proven ability to lead a team through ambiguity and deliver results with high standards in a fast-changing environment
- A collaborative, owner mindset — someone who holds themselves and their team accountable and is ultimately focused on outcomes
Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$110,500.00 - $183,000.00 Annual
