OverviewAs an Enterprise Tax Manager, you will work closely with Partners and senior tax professionals to deliver planning and compliance solutions for privately owned businesses and their owners. In this role, you will lead client engagements, develop and execute tax-planning strategies, and provide guidance on complex tax matters, including corporate reorganizations, estate planning, and succession planning initiatives. Your leadership skills will enable you to coach and develop junior team members while ensuring the delivery of high-quality client service and technical excellence.
What you will do- Lead client engagements, managing the planning and compliance needs of privately owned businesses, business owners, estates, and trusts
- Collaborate with Partners on tax planning initiatives, including corporate reorganizations, estate planning, sale modeling, and other strategic tax projects
- Review corporate, personal, estate, and trust tax compliance engagements, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and timely delivery
- Research, develop, and execute tax-planning strategies that address clients' business, succession, and wealth-planning objectives
- Review the work of junior team members, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to support their professional growth
- Present tax research, planning recommendations, and technical insights to clients and engagement teams
- Contribute to practice growth by building client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services, and supporting business development initiatives
What you bring to the role- CPA designation and a minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience within a public accounting firm
- Completion of, or significant progress toward, the CPA In-Depth Tax Program
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate, personal, estate, and trust taxation, with experience reviewing complex tax compliance engagements
- Proven ability to lead teams, provide coaching and mentorship, and support the professional development of junior staff
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to understand clients' business objectives and deliver practical tax solutions
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to present technical concepts clearly and provide confident, well-reasoned responses to complex questions
- Commitment to delivering high-quality client service, exercising sound professional judgment, and identifying opportunities to enhance client value
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $124,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
