The Impact You'll Make

Are you passionate about creating a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace? Danfoss is seeking an EHS Manager to provide environmental, health, safety, and facilities leadership at our manufacturing site.

This position is responsible for driving site-wide compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and Danfoss global EHS standards while fostering a strong safety culture. The EHS Manager will partner with site leadership to establish EHS strategies, achieve business objectives, maintain ISO certifications, oversee facility maintenance activities, and engage employees in creating a world-class safety and environmental program.

What You'll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the site's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS goals, objectives, key performance indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives that support a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify critical environmental and safety risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate hazards and improve site performance.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements, and ensure accurate regulatory reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Manage and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, audits, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, workers' compensation reporting, corrective actions, and near-miss reporting to reduce risk and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs, maintain training matrices, and ensure employees receive required safety and compliance training.
  • Collaborate with site leadership, employees, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies to drive EHS engagement, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee facility maintenance activities, site security programs, and ensure critical EHS operational controls are effectively managed and maintained.
  • Support crisis management activities and serve as a key point of contact during environmental, health, safety, or facility-related events.


What We're Looking For

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or a combination of these functions.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance programs, risk assessments, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
  • Experience managing regulatory audits, certifications, and corrective action programs.

  • Maintains a positive, professional, and respectful attitude while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing facility and safety inspections.
