Work You'll Do Manage teams that perform reserve analyses, including Statements of Actuarial Opinion, pricing, mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, economic capital modeling, enterprise risk management, new product development, strategic planning, pricing strategy development, target market assessments, competitive assessments of coverage and rating, development of rating models and factors for new product development and product enhancements, profitability analysis and audit support. Manage the design of and evaluate employee benefit programs with an emphasis on pension and post-retirement medical and insurance plans; determine the adequacy, funding requirements, and financial impact of these plans, and ensure compliance with government regulations and financial accounting standards. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

Requirements Master's degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent and 5 years of progressive related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:
- Utilizing Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial reserving, underwriting, and pricing methods, Chain-Ladder and Bornhuetter-Ferguson (BF) reserving methods, in Microsoft (MS) Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), R, Python, and Structured Query Language (SQL) to manage teams that perform reserve analyses, including Statements of Actuarial Opinion, pricing, mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, economic capital modeling, enterprise risk management, new product development, strategic planning, pricing strategy development, target market assessments, competitive assessments of coverage and rating, development of rating models and factors for new product development and product enhancements, profitability analysis and audit support;
- Providing insurance and retirement industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modelling tools, including MS Excel, R, Python, and SQL to produce analysis and algorithms;
- Managing the analysis of the financial consequences of risk using MS Excel, R, and Python to study uncertain future events, with a specific focus on insurance and pension programs;
- Managing day to day interactions with executives and sponsors and developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers;
- Managing the proposal development process, and contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies, utilizing MS PowerPoint and Excel;
- Executing client deliverables, including P&C actuarial reserving analyses, per business specifications and agreed timelines, utilizing MS Excel, VBA, R, and Python to apply P&C reserving methods including Chain-Ladder and BF; and
- Managing the performance of predictive modeling, statistical analysis, optimization pricing, actuarial analytics, risk modeling, advanced analytics, and data mining utilizing predictive analytics and algorithmic solutions models in MS Excel, VBA, R, and Python.
Other Annual Salary: $199,202.00 - $292,300.00.
