Role Summary:
The Manager, Commercial Business Partner leads the Commercial Operations team responsible for delivering timely, technically sound, and commercially competitive quotations for Actuation within the assigned region and product families. This role drives bookings growth, quotation effectiveness, order quality, and pricing discipline while serving as a key partner to sales, operations, and engineering. The position also ensures customer-focused execution, team development, and alignment with Flowserve commercial and operational standards. This role will support our Lynchburg, VA site and report to the Global Director, Commercial Operations (ACV).
Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop the Commercial Operations team, including performance management and accountability.
Ensure timely response to quotation opportunities and improve quote quality, competitiveness, and conversion rates.
Analyze quotation performance, including conversion rates and win/loss trends, to support continuous improvement.
Oversee quotations and order reviews to ensure technical accuracy, commercial compliance, and successful handoff to operations.
Support pricing strategy, discounts, surcharges, and margin performance in alignment with business objectives.
Partner with sales, operations, and engineering to support project pursuit, forecasting, reporting, and execution.
Build strong working relationships across regional and global commercial teams to leverage product capabilities and improve bookings performance.
Drive effective use of CRM, quotation tools, and reporting dashboards to support commercial operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in inside sales, outside sales, commercial operations, proposals, or quotation management in industrial equipment.
Demonstrated experience leading or coaching teams in a commercial or sales support environment
Strong understanding of pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and order review processes
Experience supporting process control, valves, automation, or related industrial markets
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn CRM, configurator, and business systems
Preferred:
Prior people management experience.
Experience with Flowserve Actuation or Control Valves products or competing product lines
Experience with quotation dashboards, win/loss analysis, forecasting, and CRM reporting

The pay range for this role is $137,151.91 - $205,783.04 per year.
