Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or biomedical engineering, or equivalent military training or one-year experience in technical equipment repair.
• Ten years of experience in a healthcare system, including five years in a supervisory administrative role.
• Bachelor's degree in biomedical or electrical engineering or technical degree (preferred).
• Certification as a Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM) (preferred).
• Two years of experience in networking/troubleshooting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance and repair activities of internal staff and external vendors.
• Implement cost-reduction strategies related to technology ownership.
• Represent the Clinical Engineering Department at safety committee and planning meetings.
• Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations through departmental policies.
• Develop and manage capital and operating budgets to meet departmental goals.
• Educate hospital staff on safe equipment use and identify malfunctions.
• Oversee the implementation of the Medical Equipment Management Program.
