The Billing Manager is responsible for leading Billing Operations within ProMach's Financial Shared Services (FSS) organization while driving the next phase of automation, standardization, and digital transformation across the billing function. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Accounts Receivables and oversees Billing operations for North America Finance operations. The Financial Shared Services Organization is a US based, onshore operation. This position is located in Charlotte, NC.Position Summary

This role oversees a team of billing professionals and is accountable for delivering accurate, timely, and efficient billing processes that support an exceptional customer experience. The successful candidate will balance operational excellence with strategic thinking, leveraging technology, analytics, automation, and process improvement to modernize billing operations and support ProMach's broader Order-to-Cash transformation initiatives.

Position Description and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership
• Lead all daily billing activities, including invoice generation, customer portal invoicing, invoice delivery, customer support, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Own and improve key operational metrics, including invoice accuracy, billing cycle time, electronic invoicing adoption, productivity, and customer experience measures.
• Monitor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and operational goals, ensuring consistent delivery and accountability across the team.
• Resolve complex billing issues, disputes, and customer escalations through fact-based analysis, sound judgment, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner closely with Collections, Cash Application, Customer Service, and divisional finance teams to improve the end-to-end billing and customer experience.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with established policies.

Transformation, Automation & Process Excellence
• Lead the Billing organization's digital transformation roadmap, including AI and automation initiatives, workflow optimization, analytics, electronic invoicing expansion, and customer self-service capabilities.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate manual work, reduce process variation, and improve scalability.
• Utilize data and operational insights to identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Leadership & Talent Development
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing billing team focused on accountability, customer service, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Foster an environment that encourages critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and ownership.
• Partner with team members to develop new skills and prepare for evolving technologies, automation tools, and future ways of working.

Qualifications
