RubinBrown is seeking an experienced Manager, Assurance Services to join our nationally recognized Real Estate Services Group. In this leadership role, you'll serve a diverse portfolio of real estate clients while helping grow our Assurance Services practice. Major Responsibilities- Manage complex assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients, ensuring exceptional client service, audit quality, and compliance with professional standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services and support business development initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory matters affecting the real estate industry.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that meet clients' evolving business needs.
- Review engagement workpapers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of RubinBrown's Real Estate Assurance Services practice.
Preferred Experience / Background / Skills- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Active CPA license required.
- Progressive public accounting experience in Assurance Services, including experience managing complex audit engagements.
- Experience serving clients in the real estate industry; experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, historic tax credits, renewable energy, Opportunity Zones, or other specialized real estate sectors.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Strong client relationship, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Business development experience or an interest in supporting practice growth.
Working Conditions- Typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in-office.
- Ability to work extra hours as determined by workload and client expectations.
- Travel is dependent upon office location, business need, and client expectations.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout office.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.
