Full Job Description
RubinBrown is seeking an experienced Manager, Assurance Services to join our nationally recognized Real Estate Services Group. In this leadership role, you'll serve a diverse portfolio of real estate clients while helping grow our Assurance Services practice. This is an opportunity to build trusted client relationships, lead high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional assurance services within a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm recognized for its expertise in affordable housing and other specialized real estate sectors.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage complex assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients, ensuring exceptional client service, audit quality, and compliance with professional standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services and support business development initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory matters affecting the real estate industry.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that meet clients' evolving business needs.
  • Review engagement workpapers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of RubinBrown's Real Estate Assurance Services practice.


Preferred Experience / Background / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Progressive public accounting experience in Assurance Services, including experience managing complex audit engagements.
  • Experience serving clients in the real estate industry; experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, historic tax credits, renewable energy, Opportunity Zones, or other specialized real estate sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing staff.
  • Strong client relationship, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Business development experience or an interest in supporting practice growth.


Working Conditions

  • Typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in-office.
  • Ability to work extra hours as determined by workload and client expectations.
  • Travel is dependent upon office location, business need, and client expectations.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout office.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.
