The
Pharmacy Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the development and expansion of systemwide ambulatory pharmacy programs. In collaboration with System Director-Pharmacy, this role is responsible for establishing and executing a comprehensive business plan for pharmacist-led clinical services, including but not limited to Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Chronic Care Management (CCM), Transitional Care Management (TCM), preventive and disease-state services, and associated billing and revenue cycle workflows.
The Manager ensures standardization, scalability, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability of ambulatory pharmacy services while optimizing pharmacist practice, improving patient outcomes, and supporting value-based care initiatives across the health system.
QualificationsRequired
- Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy with active, unrestricted pharmacist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of practice.
- Additional state licenses will be required based on organization need.
Preferred
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency training (Ambulatory Care preferred).
- Board Certification (BCACP, BPS, or equivalent).
- 3 years management or program leadership experience.
- 5 years of pharmacy experience, with significant ambulatory or clinical pharmacy experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MTM, CCM, TCM, and other ambulatory clinical pharmacy services.
- Experience with healthcare documentation, billing, and compliance processes.
- Familiarity with value-based care models and population health strategies.
