Full Job Description
Join Aprio's Aerospace, Defense, and Government Advisory team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Manager to join their dynamic team.

This position supports U.S. government and defense-related clients. Certain engagements require personnel who are eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance or who meet client-defined access requirements for controlled environments. U.S. citizenship may be a requirement of obtaining a U.S. security clearance or meeting these access requirements. These requirements are only tied to this specific job posting. Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with experience in national security acquisitions, BD/capture management, proposal development, and post-award advisory. The ideal candidate thrives independently or in small, targeted teams to identify emerging capabilities and project opportunities, in addition to larger scale proposal efforts. This individual will lead strategic growth initiatives, provide proposal support, and oversee program advisory across a portfolio of government contractors.

Position Responsibilities:

Proposal Support:

  • Aid in proposal efforts from RFI/RFP analysis through submission, ensuring compliance and compelling content, to include various technical volumes
  • Conduct proposal reviews to include major color teams.
  • Support development of White Papers and submissions to SBIRs, OTs, and CSOs


Program & Acquisition Support:

  • Plan, oversee, and advise on client customer insights and strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on contractual matters during contract award and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and SMEs to shape strategies aligned with customer needs and mission objectives.
  • Support corporate client business processes and SOP.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in National Security (DoW or IC) acquisition, business development, and/or program management roles.
  • Understanding of federal acquisition regulations, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, etc.), and FAR and non-FAR based procurement processes (OTs, CSOs, SBIRs).
  • Experience supporting classified and/or special access programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and artificial intelligence tools, such as Claude, CoPilot, or ChatGPT
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives, customers, and partners.


Desired:

  • PMP, DAU/FAC-C, CFCM, CPCM, Shipley, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience in capture or proposal development (or evaluation on the Government sides).
  • Familiarity with Department of War and Intelligence Community acquisition organizations, frameworks, and processes.
  • Experience supporting classified and/or special access programs.


$125,000 - $165,000 a year

The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
